HONEYMOON

Where again?

For our honeymoon, we will be travelling to the western side of Canada. We originally wanted to do an Alaskan cruise, but these do not really get going until a few weeks after the wedding. Instead, we decided on travelling through the Rockies, and visiting a few cities along the way.

If anyone has any suggestions on places to go, restaurants to visit, things to do, companies to use, please contact us.

 

Itinery

Day 1: Travelling from Heathrow to Vancouver with Air Canada. Thanks to the 8 hour time difference, we should arrive just in time for lunch (even though it will be mid-evening back in the UK).

Night 1: Stay at the Fairmont Waterfront, Vancouver.

Day 2: Sightseeing around Vancouver.

Night 2: Stay at the Fairmont Waterfront, Vancouver.

Day 3: Travel to Victoria, either by ferry or by seaplane if we are feeling brave (unlikely). Depending on what time we get there, we should hopefully be able to do some sightseeing.

Night 3: Stay at the Fairmont Empress, Victoria.

Day 4: Sightseeing, followed by whale watching.

Night 4: Stay at the Fairmont Empress, Victoria.

Day 5: Return to Vancouver at some juncture. More sightseeing and eating excessively.

Night 5: Stay at the Fairmont Waterfront, Vancouver.

Day 6: Sightseeing around Vancouver.

Night 6: Stay at the Fairmont Waterfront, Vancouver.

Day 7: Get up ridiculously early and board the Rocky Mountaineer train. Sightseeing as it winds its way through the valleys and peaks of the Rockies.

Night 7: Stop over in Kamloops.

Day 8: Continue on Rocky Mountaineer to Banff, where we will transfer to Lake Louise.

Night 8: Stay at Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise.

Day 9: Chilling out at Lake Louise.

Night 8: Stay at Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise.

Day 10: Transfer to Calgary.

Night 10: Stay at Fairmont Palliser in Calgary.

Day 11: Sightseeing in Calgary

Night 11: Stay at Fairmont Palliser in Calgary.

Day 12: Sightseeing in Calgary

Night 12: Stay at Fairmont Palliser in Calgary.

Day 13: Sightseeing in Calgary, then overnight flight back to Heathrow.
